When I arrived Berlin to see Apocalyptica live with Stam1na and the kids from Finland Sturm und Drang I first  catched Perttu from Apocalyptica for an Interview. After lots of fun we quit and the manger of Strum und Drang gave me 15 minutes with two of the guys for another - not planned interview. I was excited to see these young boys on stage and of course to see Stam1na live cause Perttu told me to watch them as they are the best live band ever!
The show started with Stam1na and yes they are veeeeeeery good.... and they are banging all the time, must be exertive I guess but looks great!! They sing in finnish and Antti- the singer always talks in finnish to the crowd. I am sure noone understands him, but the noise they make seems to be agreement!!
The music can be described as fast metal or something like it, it is melodic, with hard rythm and very good for rocking all night long ;)
Then came Sturm und Drang, the guys are between 15 and 18 and some media like Bravo reported about them in germany, what makes it difficult to see them neutral. But when they started playing, I tried not to look on stage and just listen, I found that these young boys are really talented and that the singer has such a big , adult voice that I wonder about his young age. The music is inspired by Judas Priest and other legends of Rock 'n' Roll, handmade and very high levelled. You just have to accostume the look of the band as it seems that some schoolband is playing there. But they are much more than a school band.
When Apocalyptica entered the stage with their live drummer and 4th cellist the audience went crazy. I had never seen them live before and wondered how to do it without anyone singing, but thats why another cellist is on stage- to play the lead- melodies and then there is the people.... They sing along every song and Nothing Else Matters was that loud that you could not hear the music anymore!! I was very impressed by Apocalyptica, the burning Cello, the stage buildings and th crowd and I can just give you the advice to check them live on the next tour!!
