brains..catch the madmen if you can!!! you fuckin sicko..you're nuthin

In autumn 2007 five crazy and rock'n roll-hearted guys met in a turkish
bar
in Tampere and the following evenings they spent much time together and
during
drinking, smoking and joking they made the great decision, to establish
a real
Rock'n Roll band!!! It took some discussions until an original band
name was
found, so first they named themselves "Black Jesus" but after a while
they came
to the conclusion to put a "z" in the middle of "Jesus", so their name
is more
singular.
They played their first gig before Christmas 2007 in a bar called
"Ottopoika" in Tampere. At this time Mr. Madbone
MacceusSister Shotgun, but after
they broke up, Macceus is completely concentrating on Black Jezus now,
doing the
vocals and singing his heart out. Sir Christus, who played the guitar
in the
Band Negative for long years and the bass at his brother's former band
Bloodpit has been graduating as Sir General
Christus
and plays now the guitar and singing the background vocals for Black
Jezus. From February 2008 until middle of April he played aswell with
his brother's Matthau Mikojan's Gang but then he left and is only
concentrating on Black Jezus now. Raffe El Rafaello
plays the guitar aswell and besides that he's in the rockband The
Bitterlicks, like Macceus he also played a long time with Sister
Shotgun. Eero Mr. Epic Maniac, the youngest guy
of them with only 20 years, plays the drums and besides he's a long
standing
drummer in the band Heijaste. In the beginning times of Black Jezus
Gärff from the Ardè's Voodoo Nights was their
bass-player, but after a short while he left the band and so the guys
did their
next gig in the Heavy-Metal-Bar "Helevetin portti" in Tampere without
him. At
their next show in April at the Ottopoika Bar again there was a big
surprise for
the audience, cause Christus' brother Matthau Mikojan joined the band
as
bass-player. He seemed to fit damn good into the band and people wanted
him to
stay, but he said, it was just for fun.
At the end of April the band introduced their new
bass-player Mercedes Santiago at the gig in the
Teerenpelibari in Tampere. He calls himself that way, cause he's riding
a
Mercedes, while the other guys prefer to take the bus or taxi or
walk... it's
even better after having drinks.
On 19th of May Mercedes left the band
due to some personal differences but the band announced that they've
found a new bass-player already and they
soon will tell who it is!
Because of the fact, that the guys are all great fans of the Rolling
Stones,
Alice Cooper, Backyard Babies, Guns'n Roses, etc., they were just doing
cover-songs at the beginning, but very soon they decided to work on
their own stuff. At the end of April they began with the recording
sessions in
the studio and soon their first single will be
released and the album will follow! In July the first real Black Jezus
Tour
will start all around Tampere and before that they rock in Kangasala at
the
Ruutanarock on 14th of June!
And so the story will continue and we all will learn about
Warschool...

Blindside
is a Christian metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. They formed in 1994
as
Underfree and kept that name for two years before releasing their debut
EP in 1996.
In
1997, Solid State Records got a hold of the EP and signed Blindside.
The first album, the self-titled Blindside, was
released to American audiences.
In
1996, Tooth & Nail Records issued a new EP, Empty Box.
In
2000, A Thought Crushed My Mind was released. This
album explored a harsher, more hardcore side than the band's debut, and
vocalist/chief lyricist Christian Lindskog also voiced his pain of
missing his wife, Elina, while touring.
2002
saw the release of Blindside's next album, Silence.
It generated hits such as "Sleepwalking", "Pitiful," and "Caught a
Glimpse." In 2003, they toured with Hoobastank to support the
album.
In
2004, About a Burning Fire was released. It
generated a minor hit in "All of Us." The album showed the band toying
with their diversity, as they threw in techno elements in "Where The
Sun Never Dies" and yodeling Swedish vocals in the ethereal "Shekina".
"Shekina" was used on WWE DVD, Cheating Death, Stealing Life
- The Eddie Guerrero Story.
However,
the headlining tour was marred by a couple of incidents. First, their
tour bus crashed and was in disrepair, forcing the band to rent a van.
Secondly, their last show in Bartlesville, OK had to be canceled. After
dining in a restaurant in Dallas, TX, they found everything in their
rental van stolen, including passports and money.
In
2005, Blindside re-released their two Solid State LPs with bonus tracks
and new cover art. A DVD titled Ten Years Running Blind
was released on June 21, 2005, and a new album, The Great
Depression, was released August 2, 2005.
Blindside released a new EP, The Black Rose EP, on June 27, 2007 [1]
and toured the United States
in support of it in late 2007. This album included five new songs and
three live songs,
and was (and is) only available online.

BLOODPIT
(FIN) Thanks to
Lithium Kitten for the Interview Bio!! <3
Bloodpit is a rock band from Tampere,
Finland. Bloodpit are Matthau Mikojan (vocals, guitar), Paavo Pekkonen
(guitar), Aleksi Keränen (bass) and Alarik Valamo (drums).
Matthau and Paavo have known each other since childhood and have played
together with various other people and under different names. Aleksi
and Alarik joined the band in 2001.
'The band-thing started in 1994 when Paavo Pekkonen and I met. Soon
after we got to know each other we decided to put a band together, a
heavy-metal band that would crush your ribs. The band was called RIP
and that was the start.
For so very long we tried to search for other members to join our band
but didn´t succeed. We changed our name to Turmio and started
to
record some demo tapes with Paavo´s father´s
recording
equipment but we were still just the two of us. Not until 1999 we
finally were a real band, at first as a trio when Janne Kolehmainen
joined the band as a bass player and then later on as a quartet as
Arnold T. Kumputie joined us as a drummer. And it was the same year we
invented the name Bloodpit. As a matter of fact Paavo did.
We were now a four-soul group ready to meet the audience. We started to
arrange these small gigs all around the neighborhood and in the summer
we recorded our first demo “Promo –EP”.
It shared
some opinions, good and bad, but the most liked it. Soon after we made
the first demo in 2000 these two managers were interested in Bloodpit
but things just didn´t work out the way we wanted and
eventually
we were alone again.
The first real setback occurred in the end of 2000 when we realized we
have to let our bass player Janne Kolehmainen go for musical reasons.
So we brought my brother Christian Grigory in.
In the beginning of 2001 we faced the second tragedy and now it was
more serious. Our drummer nearly died and he was placed in a hospital
immediately. It was very serious and the future of Bloodpit was
uncertain until after a few months Arnold got better and actually got
out of the hospital. We started to rehearse again.
In the following spring we played in a band contest
(Tampere-Ilmiö) and won that thing. Then there was this second
contest arranged by Rockperry festival and for our surprise we won that
too. By the way that show, the Rockperry gig, was broadcast by 2nd
Head, a web site, and was on the internet for everyone to see.
We recorded our second demo-EP “No2” in August 2001
with
the same producer (Pirkka Rännäli) we used on our
first demo.
The purpose was to create as professional thing as possible to impress
the record companies. Then we started to promote our band as much as
possible with the new cd.
The year changed and again there was a lot of rehearsing, some gigs and
plans etc. We wanted to play at Satamarock 2002 again this year (we
played there in 2000) but they said we should take part in a band
contest, arranged by the arranger of Satamarock, and if we won we would
get to play in the festival. “Well, if that´s what
it
takes… then, lets go and win that thing”
-That´s
what we thought about it and sure enough it also happened. We won the
third contest within a year.
Another setback was to come; our bass player, Christian, left Bloodpit
to join another band as a guitarist, which is what he had always been.
We began to hold auditions and the first guy to audition made it. His
name was Paspartou Hagen and he became our new bass player. His first
gig at Satamarock was two days after he joined the band and you gotta
appreciate it. In the summer we played a few festival gigs (Puustock,
Valkeakosken Musiikkitapahtuma and that already many-time-mentioned
Satamarock) among the smaller gigs and we had a great time. But soon we
began to realize that there was something wrong with our drummer,
Arnold… I mean he behaved very oddly, for example, he
started to
get drunk every time we had a gig and he behaved like he
didn´t
care anymore. It got to the point where we had to let him go and that
was in October 2002. At around the same time Paspartou Hagen realized
he was playing the wrong instrument. He wanted to play the guitar so he
left Bloodpit to create his own band and once again we were forced to
hold auditions for a new drum´n´bass team.
Fortunately we
found Alarik Valamo the drummer and Aleksi Keränen the bass
player
pretty soon and were back on our feet again. The new Bloodpit was born.
After some rehearsing we went to record some new material in the end of
the year and in the beginning of the next year 2003 we had a new
demo-EP “You Name It” in our hands and once again
we
started to promote ourselves.
In February this new record company, Grotesque Records, from Helsinki
contacted us and soon after that we were getting ready to make our
debut album. The schedule of recording the album began to stretch and
stretch and we figured out there´s something wrong.
Eventually I
made a phone call to the company and insisted for an answer and
that´s what I got; Grotesque Records didn´t exist
anymore… they just didn´t tell that to us until
now.
In 2003 we did a couple of TV appearances and about 30 gigs and we made
it look good. Platitude-EP was released in January 2004. For now we are
looking forward to the future and trying to make it.
Bloodpit quits!! Matthau is working on his
Soloalbum
that is going to be released in 2008 and he sees no
chance to restart with Bloodpit again.
-Matthau
Mikojan'
In 2005 Bloodpit have released single the 'Out To Find You' which was
#1 in
Finnish charts and their debut album called 'Mental Circus'.
In the late summer in 2007, the band cancelled their tour and announced
on their site
that they will do a pause for an indefinite period of time. In that
time, singer Matthau
left the band who continues alone in summer 2008. On October 1st, their
new album "Recovered"
will be released.
Since the formation of Bullet Ride in 2005, they
have already have accomplished many feats. In spite of their youth, the
band
members are very experienced musicians who have played in various
projects. In
Spring 2006 they were able to sell out their debut single
“Wavering and Violent”
within one week. The high demand of the single has encouraged Bullet
Ride to
create a new edition of the single to be released to the public. At
this time
Bullet Ride is looking for a publisher for its upcoming material. They
have
proven their success by drawing in impressive audiences at their gigs,
and has
aroused considerable interest particularly in the Southern-Finland
region.
The band members define their music as Led Zeppelin meets Pearl
Jam and Alice in Chains, and takes a sauna with Black Sabbath. Hence,
we are
obviously talking about rock music. Bullet Ride fluently combines rock,
grunge
and stoner sounds by creating a distinctive style in the Finnish music
scene.
The power of the band is based on catchy songs, strong charisma on
stage, and
hard-core playing skills. The band does not rely on gimmicks such as
leather
pants and excessive make-up to draw in the attention of fans. In order
to prove
their dedication to their music the band has effectively performed
several live
acoustic sets.
