It
was just
one gig planned - with interview, that got lost later through our big
PC-Crash- but I was so stoked that I needed another gig. Hannover was
the first one and Jesus On Extasy were much better than awaited
although Alicia left the band that afternoon. I saw her leaving and
when she came not on stage later it was clear that a change in JOE
happened. Dorian is still not the best singer but his stage-presence
was much stronger than at the last gig I saw. They played about 40
minutes and I am amazed by Ophelia again and again. If you ever have
the chance to se the band live check the girl behind the keys and you
will know what I mean. She's unbelivable.
The mainact Eisbrecher with singer "The Checker" Alex (DMAX) blew us
all off. It's hard to decribe the music... Industrial, EBM, Metal,
Rock... everything rolled into one and a good dose of gothic and evil
posing over it all! Alex's strong voice and his endearing personality
was underlined by his charm and his attitude not to take
himself
too serious! Most of the songs are earwigs and sing alongs or
shoul I say roar?? It's music to dance and shout phrases and enjoy the
basedrum !
The crowd really rocked the Musikzentrum and after the gig most of the
people stayed longer to meet Alex and the other artists, they did not
meet dissapointment.
Just two days later we were on the road again to a three hour trip to
Nordhorn. Lets make it short: The show was nearly the same but better
in some ways, the sound was better, maybe I had a better place to see
and yes the little photosession after the gig (see gallery) was the
top!
