Anssi8000, Judge Bone, 22 Pistepirkko, Discard, Stam1na, Diablo, Flinch, The Winyls, Negative

On Saturday evening the festival took place in the Magnet and the first Band to play was Anssi8000 a two men show, or better  husband and wife toghether playing four or five instruments at the same time and singing along.

It seemed to be a religious thing as I understood the lyrics right and was nothing spectacular, but typical finnish. The next act was Judge Bone and it was awsome, reminding me of irish music not just from the music but also optically. That old guy with his guitar gave me the feeling to be in an irish pub and watching Joe Cocker singing.

The highlight that evening, definitly! Besides the free Salmiakki at the Entrance!
22 Pistepirkko convinced with good old rock 'n' Roll, lots of alcohol in the veins and a big crowd in front of stage!

The next day starts in the early afternoon for us with a bit sightseeing and a visit at the finnish market at Alexanderplatz.  There was played music (not finnish- whyever), and you could taste all the finnish specialities at the snackbars.  There were also lessons in the finnish lanuage and other stuff you could buy.
At 18.00 h we left the market to do an interview with Antti from Stam1na at the venue. Arriving at the Knaak we met again a lot of nice finnish guys, had a perfect interview and then went back to the hotel to prepare for the metal night in the Knaak!!

The Knaak could be filled better but it was ok. We got Salmiakki at the entrance again, happy happy, and then Discard started to rock the house.  The crowd was not that much moving but  they liked it as the applause shows!!

Stam1na played in another category, the moshing starts and we had lots of fun with the wet hair swinging guys on stage ;)
By the way, the new songs really sound different- it is much less noise but still makes fun to every metal-hearded!!

Diablo was desiderated by most of the people and they have this big fame quite rightly. They are such great and they show the fun they have playing on stage and they are loud and dark!! That's what metal has to be!!

After the shows we left the Knaak for some After Show Party in the beloved Wild At heart, where else.  Early in the morning we fell into our beds and had to stand up not that much later again. We met  again at the Columbia Club and had to do an interview with Flinch that was a bit difficult for the singer Ville (brother of Jonne Aaron/ Negative) does not speak any english and the band is not very into the stuff they do, well if they have fun playing...
When the doors opened we got our passes and had to hurry cause Flinch started playing very early. We missed the Salmiakki but there was time for it later.

You can hear Negative out of every single song of Flinch,  but the music is true and they played themselves right into the hearts of the Negative fans. A good mix of rock songs and ballads and some fans could sing along as I could see.  Ville on stage is totally his brother- he moves and dresses like him and he looks very much like Jonne.  The band is technical very good and sympathic as the fins always seemes to be.
Then the crazy Winyls entered the stage and they rocked the crowed right to hell, nearly everyone was moving their hips to the fresh and fast rocksongs of the fins! The singer reminds me vaguely of  Lauri Ylönen (Rasmus)- the way he moves and his style!!

Then the long awaited gig of Negative starts with the Pulp Fiction title melodie, the guys played their first gig with Gary the new guitarist that replaces Sir Christus. Of course they were afraid of that gig for that Sir Christus was the one with the most fans in the band. But the fans were delighted by Gary and the always same Negative show.   Jonne also sang some finnish song, the well known singles, new songs  and We will rock you + The show must go on of Queen.

The complete show is a bit calmer than before, I would like them to be a bit more that crazy bunch they were two years ago, but the fans said it was great even without that! Lauri played a hugh guitar solo with full passion and  the fans sang along at Still Alive as loud as never before!! After finishing, the whole three bands came on stage together to say goodbye to the amazing fans!!

The After Show Party took place in the Wild At Heart- where else- and in the early morning I left Berlin for this time!
